As an organization dedicated to preserving the history and knowledge of the past generations, we understand the important role agriculture plays in our culture. Our goal is to promote family farms and sustainable agriculture methods to further enhance our community. We believe a strong farming community improves the ecology and economy of South Louisiana, which in turn, helps to improve the quality of life for our citizens and little by little, build a better world.
The Association looks to be an active leader in efforts to improve the quality of life of friends and families in South Central Louisiana.

Welcome to Teche Growers Association, the premier local agriculture organization in our area. Our mission is to educate, promote, and preserve agriculture in our community. With over 60 members and growing, we aim to support local farmers and promote a sustainable food system in our area. Our organization offers educational opportunities to anyone interested in learning more about agriculture, from farmers to interested consumers. OUR HISTORY
Teche Growers Association is a community-driven organization that is committed to cultivating a healthy and sustainable agriculture industry. Founded in 2015, our aim is to preserve and promote agriculture heritage and knowledge for generations to come. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive community where farmers can find resources, share ideas, and collaborate on projects. In 2022, we purchased the Harvest Room as an event venue, which we intend to turn into a premiere event space and agriculture museum. Making a Difference in Louisiana
Louisiana's rich agricultural industries contribute an average of $10 billion annually to the state’s economy. When the different support businesses and industries are added in, agriculture touches the lives of everyone in Louisiana, making them critical to the economic growth and prosperity of the state.
The effects can be directly felt in our local economy as well as our rich cultural heritage.
The Teche Growers Association formed in 2015 as a local agriculture organization consisting of 60 plus members. Comprised of sugarcane, rice, soybeans, crawfish and cattle farmers, agri-business and individuals, we focus on the education, promotion and preservation of the agriculture industries of South Central Louisiana.
